Whey protein………………….…?

Hey,

I bought some Whey Protein.

It says "each serving (25g)

17.62 g of protein"
and o load of other stuff such as calcium and stuff.

Is a serving one full scoop full of Whey protein? How many scoops a day should you have for bulking up, but keeping a low body fat?

8oz glass of milk, one scoop of whey protein right after a work out. dont wait more then thirty minutes.

    one scoop = one serving

Whey is for use when you aren’t getting enough protein in your diet, it will not help you bulk up one its own. The general purpose is for pre/post "workout" shakes

I like making whey omelets though d-(‘-’ )z

Generally a serving is one scoopful. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a tub of whey where one serving wasn’t one scoopful.

But more importunately, there is generally a trade-off between bulking up and keeping body fat low. In order to bulk up you need excess calories to let your muscles grow. In order to slim down or stay slim you need to cut down or maintain calories in oder to make your body use fat stores as energy/not let fat stores build up.

So unfortunately it’s pretty much mutually exclusive. You could cycle your excercise routine between "bulking" phases which emphaisize heavy lifting and excess calories for six weeks and "slimming" phases where you do a lot of cardio and eat less in order to burn off the fat you’ve accumulated in that period.

If you’re in a bulking phase add a scoop of whey (I sometimes used scoop and a half) into a serving or two or orange juice and drink it immediately after you work out — your body needs protien and carbs right after working out the most and this is a good way to deliver them both. If your slimming, do the same but use water instead of juice.
