I have had a big box of whey protein shake, closed and stored for a year now. The powder. I read that it is not the whey that expires , the taste might go bad but the protein is still there working. Can someone that knows about this tell me if it is safe?

It’s fine to use it.

The powder never really goes bad unless bugs or water get into it or somethin.
