    After working out, …
After working out, your body needs to recover. By taking protein your muscles rebuild faster, by taking carbs you increase your energy level.

The big keys to losing weight are having muscles burn off extra calories and increasing your metabolism. This helps to do both. Remember this isn’t a high calorie count shake, just high protein.

    Jahlove111 …
Jahlove111 If you would like to gain some muscle pretty fast use creatine. Don’t abuse it though you could cuz stretch marks if u take it more then once a day. BSN Cellmass is what I use and the first month I used it I gained 30 pounds of muscle, but you also have to take the pills the have to increase the outcome, it also makes you ripped.

    MSG is still used …
MSG is still used in many products, they only have to label it as “MSG” if it is 100% MSG. Less than that it can be labled as calcium casinate, hydrolized yeast protein, ,and the list goes on.

Other sweetners like splenda are almost guarenteed to be in there

Recent studies say that PRE-workout nutrition is vastly more important then post. I think Stephen needs to read a few more research articles.

    Hey!

I usually drink a protein shake after workout. I use the banana flavoured one my boyfriend always buys and even though it doesn’t taste great when you mix it with water, it barely has any calories and you can still have normal dinner after the shake. ;)

Recipes for more smoothies or other cool things using protein would be great!

Fat free milk is very good for you! I wouldn’t drink whole milk though…

  15. Hoontae says:

    i think they are …
i think they are talking about milk instead of the foods you mentioned
‘rice and beans, broccoli, peas and almonds, eggs’
as milk is a liquid and digests alot faster in your body than solid foods. however i do get your point and personally i think milk contains too much fat and i wouldnt drink milk after any of my workouts

  16. goingtocalifornia says:

    Well they did …
Well they did discuss quality of protein. Additives like msg are debatable, and are not found in any athletic nutritional supplements. Aspartame is not even used anymore.

come on guys, reallly!!! You didn’t even discus the quality of protein, let alone additives like msg, aspertame and splenda. I think you audience needs to be aware of these things, and the detrimental effects they can have on your health.
