if your bulking no, but if your slimming they are brilliant as a healthy snack, mid morning mid afternoon and they are brilliant before bed as it gives your body something non fatty and good to digest over night and stops breakdown of muscles whilst you sleep.

The best would be a casein protein to take before bed or eat skinless chicken before bed. Your body has to break these down and this lengthens the time it takes for the body to metabolize the protein(good because the longer your body has protein going into it, the longer your body will go without metabolizing your muscle).
Also, first thing in the morning (right after getting out of bed and you can also leave one next to your bed for a sip in the night.), have a gatorade or other sports drink with carbs in it. This will completely halt the metabolization of muscle.

a good balanced meal contains carbs, protein, fiber, healthy fat, water, and vitamins, all thats missing from the protein shake is fiber, sprinkle in some fiberone cereal or raisin bran and you’re good to go!
