5 hours unrefrigerated should not be a problem. I used to carry it in a "Tupperware" tumbler – pack it at 8 a.m. in the morning and drink it around 1 p.m. It was not refrigerated. It does taste good. Beyond 6 hours, I have my own doubts. It could get spoiled.
