I’ve heard to take it after I workout, an hour before I work out, when I wake up in the morning, before I go to bed. When should i be taking it??

1.0-1.5g of protein per body weight so 155-233g of protein all divided into 5 small meals throughout the day. Whey should be taken after your workout and 30min before bed to feed the body through your sleep to keep it in anabolic state, the state where muscles grow. People take it in the morning to help bring the body out of the catabolic state where muscles are eaten away for energy but you can eat some egg whites and oatmeal if you like.

I am 13. I am not a body builder but I won’t to be able to make a natural protein shake that keeps me healthier than I already am. And what I mean by natural is like without the whey protein powder stuff, like make it with natural, house-hold items. Like examples of that would be like milk, fruits, and stuff like that. And if I can make this, then how many times a day should I drink it?

Sincerely,

I make them for my kids without the protein powders (and sometimes with – depending on what they’re eating that day and their activities that day), though sometimes with milk or soy milk instead. As for how many times a day, it really depends on which shake recipe you use and what the rest of your diet is like. If you’ve got a good well balanced diet and you’re not training heavily, there isn’t really a ‘need’ to have your food as a protein shake – its just sometimes convenient or sometimes a tasty treat instead of junk food.

When purchasing any weight loss product, it is important to do your research. Many people are exchanging their opinions about SlimScript on DietBlogTalk.com

For an additional source, check out SlimScript on the very popular Sensational.com

Overview

Diet shakes seem almost as old as dieting itself—few people who’ve tried to lose weight have not encountered a weight loss shake powder of one kind or another. The makers of SlimScript claim their product is a bit different than the shakes that have come before it because of its supposed good taste, high calcium, and low carb formula. Yet a look into the ingredients reveals SlimScript is like most other diet shakes: low calorie, few flavors, and not quite a worthy substitute for actual food.

Ingredients at a Glance

SlimScript shake mixes contain whey protein, soy protein, fiber, and a daily dose of several vitamins and minerals.

Ingredients in Focus

Soy and whey protein are the most common types of protein found in natural supplements. Whey protein is taken from whey (the liquid that separates from curds in cheese making) and is very easily absorbed by the body. The main drawback of soy is the amount of phyto-estrogen it contains, which can unbalance the dieter’s hormones. Fiber is an essential part of any diet as it fortifies the heart and improves digestion. While these ingredients are all nourishing they are not able to speed metabolism or suppress the appetite.

Positives

• Includes a generous helping of necessary nutrients

Negatives

• No testimonials at this time

• Available in only three flavors

• Must be mixed with milk before consuming

• Expensive compared to similar diet shakes

Final Thoughts

At only 120 calories each, SlimScript shakes can hardly be considered a replacement for a meal. Though you may need to regulate the amount of calories you take in, most individuals will not need to make such a drastic cutback. There are a number of ways to reduce calories without spending money on or having to mix up specially made shakes. By eating meals that are well-balanced and fresh, and getting exercise nearly every day, you will quickly see the benefits of implementing your own weight loss program. Once you are on the path to dieting success you can decide which products will best support the program you have in place.

When purchasing any weight loss product, it is important to do your research. Many people are exchanging their opinions about Calotren on DietBlogTalk.com

For an additional source, check out Calotren on the very popular Sensational.com

Overview

Calotren™ is a protein supplement designed to eliminate the need for stimulants by focusing on nutrition. Protein is a necessary nutrient for a normal functioning body. High protein diets are often linked to weight loss because of its ability to burn quickly as energy as opposed to being stored as fat. Calotren™ claims to be an all natural weight loss supplement that doesn’t contain stimulants, appetite suppressants, and causes no side effects. The makers of this product claim that it allegedly sustains muscle mass, supports joint strength, provides energy, and facilitates weight loss. Interestingly, according to the makers of Calotren™, most people who experience energy from this product are underweight or active.

Ingredients at a Glance

According to the manufacturer of Calotren™ the main ingredient is their protein formula, otherwise known as Collagen, Oxygenated Water, Aloe Vera, Glycerin, Potassium Sorbate, Natural Raspberry Flavoring, and Methyl Paraben.

Ingredients in Focus

Collagen is a protein that has often been linked to cosmetic benefits. Recently, the diet industry has argued that it has powerful weight loss potential, though this is not a proven fact. In addition, it may preserve lean muscle mass and provide energy. More successful and better known protein supplementing, however, has been linked to the use of other types of protein. Soy protein has been linked to weight loss. Whey protein has been linked to muscle development and weight loss. Aloe Vera has been linked to good skin health. While this is not a skin treatment formula the idea is that smooth and toned skin should accompany weight loss. The other ingredients—Glycerin, Oxygenated Water, Glycerin, Potassium Sorbate, Natural Raspberry Flavoring, and Methyl Paraben—are for flavoring, texture, and taste.

Positives

• There are no stimulants in Calotren™.

Negatives

• Collagen is unproven as a weight loss supplement.

soul surfer downloads

• This product must be taken on an empty stomach; no food must be consumed within three hours of taking this product.
• Calotren™ costs about $75 per 30 day supply.

Final Thoughts

The makers of Calotren™ have tried to create an effective weight loss supplement without stimulants. Several success stories from individuals using their product have been provided. They also indicate that their product is not intended to replace diet and exercise, but exercise and diet will enhance the effectiveness of the product. However, there is still no clinical evidence that Collagen is an effective weight loss supplement. Collagen use has proved successful in other areas such as beauty and cosmetics, but as far as weight loss, the necessary properties to facilitate weight loss are just not there. Look instead for a supplement that uses ingredients to burn fat and control the appetite and you’ll be much further ahead.

I am 20 years old i’ve been working out for 1 year and 3 months. I just started taking Whey Protein Optimum 3 months ago i see some improvements in my body but i’m really looking for gaining weight. i weight 157 lb, 5"6 height
what are the side effects of the serious mass? and how many times should i take the serious mass through out the day? what about the resting days should i use it, how many scoops?

red riding hood full movie online

I don’t know the specific details about each product, but I’ve used a number of Protein and Mass type powders.

The main difference is usually that Mass products contain significant amounts of carbohydrates (mostly simple but also some complex). After realizing that as much as 40% of the weight of Mass shake mixes go to simple sugars like Dextrose, and another 25% to complex carbs, I moved on to normal protein shakes.

Serious Mass probably also includes things like Creatine and added Glutamine. These have been shown to increase mass building but see if Protein Optimum includes them. They are readily available supplements at most health stores which sell bodybuilding nutrition. I would definitely recommend sticking to the Protein and maybe added some sucrose to a post-workout shake yourself. Get the extra calories from things like meat and whole foods which will be better for you anyways. Finally, using Mass products is not recommended for longer than a month or two at a time due to the huge amounts of simple carbs consumed in a short period of time – its like drinking sugar with added starch and some protein.

shutter island movie summary

edit – the reason I use Protein over Mass is simply a cost-benefit ratio. Serving sizes on Mass drinks usually recommend up to 4 large scoops both on resting days and workout days, costing you much more money in the long run. If money is not an issue, Mass drinks are premixed and have well-balanced carb ratios.

How long is a piece of string…..

Much is going to depend on if you want to buy it on line, or from bricks and mortar. Then there’s the question of do you want a simple protein or a complex (with additives like creatine, HMB, and amino acids added).

A good place to start would be a visit to a GNC store or Health Food store, and physically looking though the info on the different products. I’d actually advise you not to take advice from the staff, they usually have their own motivations and apply these to everyone who asks for advice (human nature I guess).

—–

Off the top of my head:
Nutrisport do a decent protein that’s around 98% and under 200kcals per serving, it’s a mix of fast and slower release whey protein though, but it’s cheap, and you can get it by the bucket (5kg bucket I think).

Maximuscle Cyclone, this is the brand leader apparently. Their Cyclone product is a complex, it contains a good amount of protein (though less than the Nutrisport) but more of it is fast acting proteins. The downside is the cost, it is expensive.

My Protein Hurricane. A UK bulk protein supplier’s Cyclone clone, weight for weight about 1/3 the price of Maximuscle Cyclone but with a very similar formula. Only available online at the current time, but a great supplier all the same. If you are in the UK mail me via Y!A and I’ll give you a discount code (it’s only 5% but that’s better than nothing).
