Calling all fitness experts and muscle heads!?

I need good advice on how to get strong and ripped.

I am 16 years old. Not the biggest guy around but about 5’10. I’m what you would call "soft" and I need to get buff and strong for football season next year. I have about 5 months to do so. First off, do you believe that its psychically possibly to do so in 5 months? Also, how often should I work out? I recently purchased a membership to an elite gym so equipment is NOT a problem. I have all possible resources at my fingertips, I just need to know HOW TO USE THEM.

So, in your opinion, what are the best excersizes to build muscle effectively and quickly? (Biceps, Abs, Pectorals and Shoulders.)

Also, if you have heard of these products, which is better? body fortress whey protein or muscle milk? should I even worry about protien drinks at all?

All answers are GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks

Just do the basics, pushups, pullups, squats, calf raises and crunches. To be honest doing leg excercises and running regularly will probably be the best for you. When you are hitting someone, your upper body strength level doesn’t really matter as much as your weight, and you aren’t going to be gaining very much weight at all at your age. Excercising your legs will give you more acceleration and will make you faster and more explosive which will result in hitting harder.

as a beginner, you should mainly focus on 4 main parts of your body, chest, back, legs, and arms. if youve been working out for some time now, then you can meet with a trainer at your gym and tell him to make an routine for you. same routines doesnt work on everyone so u must have a unique routine for yourself that fits you. whey protein is a great way to start and that’s what i used. i never tried muscle milk
