I&#8217;ve heard to take it after I workout, an hour before I work out, when I wake up in the morning, before I go to bed. When should i be taking it??<br />
<br />1.0-1.5g of protein per body weight so 155-233g of protein all divided into 5 small meals throughout the day. Whey should be taken after your workout  and 30min before bed to feed the body through your sleep to keep it in anabolic state, the state where muscles grow. People take it in the morning to help bring the body out of the catabolic state where muscles are eaten away for energy but you can eat some egg whites and oatmeal if you like.</p>

For those who doesn&#8217;t know and want to earn some points here by answering me nothing (u know who I mean here) amino acids and whey protein powders are food suplements and they are not used to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.<br />
<br />From what I gather&#8230;, liquid aminos is just a complete amino acid in liquid from&#8230;, (if it is actually something else&#8230;, see a doctor) but anyways&#8230;, it doesn&#8217;t matter when you take it&#8230;, both the same thing&#8230;, the only thing I would do is take it within one hour of working out&#8230;</p>

<p>im ur age that height but 130 lbs and i will probably take protein when i join the gym in two months but i dnt think u need extra protein at that weight if u want to get buffer just exercise and if u want to get thiner take protein and lessen ur eating habbits and exercise</p>

My routine is:</p>
<p>Monday GYM &#8211; Upper body + Abs &#8211; Shake after the workout.Morning run before breakfast 2-6miles-i have half a shake before the run.</p>

<p>Saturday i dont take it and i dont on sunday either, either sat or sun il have a rest day, on either one il do sports like football or tennis.<br />
I also do football and tennis throughout the week.</p>
<p>I really want the muscles to start gaining strength and bigger, so shall i take it more often more times a week? or am i good how i am? ive been doing this routine for 2 weeks.</p>

<p>straight after your workout you need to take your whey protein when your body needs it the most, you do need to eat a balanced diet too alongside the protein shakes. i have 2/3 shakes per day but each contains different things, i won&#8217;t confuse you for the time being, i think you should have another look at your workout plan and look up stronglifts 5&#215;5 programme or anything by joe defranco</p>

<p>One scoop right after your workout is great.  You can take one with milk within 30 minutes of waking up to quickly get protein to your muscle after fasting all night.  You should do that the morning after your workouts too.  Before bed you should either use casein protein with milk or have some cottage cheese.  Those are slow release proteins that will feed your muscle for several hours while you sleep.</p>
<p>One scoop is one scoop &#8211; doesn&#8217;t matter if it&#8217;s in 8 oz of water or 32.  It&#8217;ll just take ya longer to drink it!  Personally I use 20 oz of gatorade post-workout &amp; 8 oz of 1% milk with breakfast.</p>

<p>I would suggest pre and post workout whey shakes, also you can utilize them as a meal replacement as well. On the days you do not exercises use them as a quick morning meal to get the nutrients into your muscles. With your workload of dancing and workouts you need the tissue repair!!! <br />It is some good nutrition, It keeps you full, but drinking it hours before and hours after a workout wont do much. </p>
<p>You cant expect muscle to just grow by drinking a drink.</p>

The product label isn&#8217;t much help in figuring this out, but it seems pretty harmless.<br />
<br />First let me tell you this.  My kids eat whey protein smoothies and shakes every day and the oldest is 5.  </p>
<p>Whey protein is safe and is already in many of the things you are probably eating daily. Did u know it&#8217;s in Cheeze it crackers, candy bars, pop tarts, oreos and many other foods, including almost all dairy products like yogurt, milk, cheese etc. Baby food has whey protein, The protein in milk is 20% whey, so whey in its concentrated form should be perfectly fine at any age as long as you are not lactose intolerant.  Next time you are at the store look at the label on some baby formula.  Even that has whey protein in it.  Start reading labels and you will see many foods that contain whey, and are safe at any age. Whey is a naturally occurring protein in dairy and it has a lot of health benefits even if you don&#8217;t workout.</p>
